Errors when viewing location


Error "This URL is not currently active" is showing when a user tries to view my location.

The URL has been set to inactive. Please edit the URL and tick the "Active" box.


Error "This URL has expired" is showing when a user tries to view my location.

The "To" date on the URL has passed. Please edit the URL and either extend the "To" date or remove it altogether. Remember that this time needs to be entered according to the time zone which is set on your user settings page.


Error "This URL is not yet active" is showing when a user tries to view my location.

The "From" date on the URL has not been reached yet. Please edit the URL and either bring forward the "From" date or remove it altogether. Remember that this time needs to be entered according to the time zone which is set on your user settings page.


Error "This URL is private. To view, please log in first" is showing when a user tries to view my location.

The URL is not set to Public, and the user is not logged into the website. You can either edit the URL and tick the "Public" box, or instruct the user to create an account and log in. You will need to enter the username or email address of the user in the "Usernames with access" box if you do not want to make the URL public.


Error "You have not been given permission to view this URL. Please contact the owner to request access" is showing when a user tries to view my location.

The URL is not set to Public, and this specific user has not been given permission to view the URL. You can either edit the URL and tick the "Public" box, or enter the username or email address of the user in the "Usernames with access" box if you do not want to make the URL public.
